Meet the Team

Title: President

Duties: I work alongside my team and assist in the day to day needs that keep CBE running smoothly; whether it be negotiating with the manufacturers, supporting the sales team in any way possible and doing the behind the scenes work that keeps CBE successful. I trust my managers and employees to do the best job they can and to keep our customers satisfied. I believe it’s my job to help my team be the best they can be.

Education/Current and Past Work-Experience: I started in this business in 1985. My father was in the copier business and I followed in his footsteps. In 1993, I started CBE and I am blessed to have grown it to one of the premier office technology dealerships in Southern California.

Personal Snippet: Tarek lives in Orange County with his son and their husky, Zeus. He enjoys taking Zeus on long walks. He loves food, so cooking and dining out are a big part of his culture as well as spending time with family and friends. He has been lucky enough to travel all over the world and will continue to travel as much as possible.

Fred Karam, CPA

Title: Chief Financial Officer

Education/Current and Past Work-Experience: Fred Obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University Of Akron. Also a Certified Public Accountant since 1988. Fred has over 20 years of executive experience in Medical device/Plastics/Rubber/Spa MFG. Companies include Carl Zeiss/ Calspas/ Caplugs

Personal Snippet: Resides in Anaheim Hills with his wife Nada. They have 3 children. Enjoys Traveling/Nature/Entertaining with family and friends.

Eman Hafiz

Title: General Manager

Duties: Responsible for accurate payroll, all hiring, and the company's performance.

* Manage, support and track the areas where the president and other managers need support and assistance.

* Support and develop office staff in their respective areas.

* Manage all leasing company funding and CPC reports.

* Work with CPA on all year-end accounting / financial issues.

* Assist and partner with President and Managers in matters of Operations and Office Management.

* Manage performance expectations with daily coaching and by motivating the team for high performance.

Personal Snippet: Lives in Rancho Santa Margarita, married to Salah Fouad, has one girl , two boys, and two dogs ( Charlie and Toby), loves cooking , crafts, and spending time with family, currently attending Saddleback Community College to earn business management degree by the end of 2017.

Matt Lackie

Title: VP of Sales

Duties: Oversee the entire sales team

Education/Current and Past Work-Experience: BA - CSU Chico 1993/ been with CBE for 18 years

Personal Snippet: Has four daughters and an awesome wife that keep him very busy. Girls are/were all soccer players and Matt has really enjoyed coaching them over the last 12 years. In “free time” he enjoy sports, traveling and playing golf.

Mike Salahi

Title: Senior Sales Manager

Duties: Support the sales executives on appointments and developing business relationships with customers.

Education/Current and Past Work-Experience: Been with CBE for 18 years

Personal Snippet: Lives in South Orange County with his wife, daughter and son. He loves getting involved in his kids' sports and helps coach both his son’s football team and daughter’s soccer team. He loves everything Oregon; especially the Oregon Ducks!!! Has been with CBE for over 18 years and enjoys the relationships he's built with clients throughout the years.

Bill Ring

Title: Branch Director, Gardena

Duties: Manage the Gardena branch's day to day business operations; support the sales executives on appointments and developing business relationships with our customers.

Education/Current and Past work Experience: Gannon University, Erie, Pa. / 29 Years in the office technology industry with Minolta, Canon and CBE.

Personal Snippet: Resides in Rancho Palos Verdes with wife Lynn. Both daughter Kelsi and son Dylan are college graduates. He and his wife are music enthusiasts and enjoy going to live concerts as often as possible.

Rob Adams

Title: Branch Director, City of Industry

Duties: Responsible for staffing, sales training, assisting in business strategy, closing sales and creating a positive "can-do" culture at his branch.

Education/Current and Past Work-Experience: Graduate of California State University Long Beach with a B.A in Public Administration. Began his career in office technology industry in 1988 as a salesmen; has managed a sales force since 1991; obtained his Certified Document Image Architect credentials in 1999; joined CBE in 2006 as City of Industry Branch Director.

Personal Snippet: Resides in La Crescenta with his wife and son, who is in his second year of college, and black shepherd, Callie; favorite pastimes include surfing, CrossFit and spending time at the river during the summer.

Eric Coleman

Title: Branch Director, Ontario

Duties: Manages the Ontario branch which includes 10 sales people, a sales manager, and a managed print services specialist. His duties involve collaboration with senior staff and developing processes that improve the skills of CBE's professional sales people; works with the sales staff to evaluate prospective and current customer's technology and all costs associated with it. He also manages day to day sales activity while taking responsibility to oversee the branch’s largest accounts; works with the corporate office staff on a daily basis to ensure total customer satisfaction

Experience: Over 20 years of experience in office technology sales with several industry manufacturers prior to joining CBE. His experience includes direct sales, sales management in channel distribution, and retail; his various positions range from Major Account Sales, Branch Manager, and National Accounts Management.

Specialties: Management and strategic planning; analyzing work flow, and providing alternative solutions related to document production and distribution.

Personal Snippet: A native of California; grew up in Los Angeles; currently resides in Temecula, with his wife of 18 years, Yolanda. They have two boys; ages 21 and 25. The older one lives in San Diego, and the younger is currently enlisted the U.S. Army. After graduating high school, Eric joined the U.S Marines. He enjoys most sports, but has a love for basketball. He enjoys jazz music, particularly live music, at small venues, both indoor and outdoor. While living in Temecula, he has also become a fan of wine tasting.

Bill Sieck

Title: Sales Manager - Government, Education and Major Accounts (GEM)

Duties: Manages a team of GEM sales representatives

Education/Current and Past work Experience: He has a BA in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University/over 20 years of experience in the office technology and document management industries.

Personal Snippet: Lives in San Juan Capistrano with his wife and son; enjoys playing tennis and golf. Bill served nine years in the U.S. Navy.

Stu Meyer

Title: Director of Sales, IT Services

Duties: Leading a team of seasoned IT consultants, delivering cutting edge technologies and platforms to our customers.

Education/Current and Past work Experience: Stu Meyer is an accomplished sales executive with over 25 years of experience consulting and selling advanced technology solutions to businesses of all sizes. Stu has worked as a Consultant specializing in bringing technology solutions that helps people work. He is an expert in all aspects of IT such as Document Management, Workflow Solutions, Cloud based Business Solutions, Network Solutions, Hosted Virtual Desktops, Server Hosting, Application Hosting, Advanced Capture Solutions, ISP, Mobile Solutions, Back-up and Disaster Recovery Solutions. Uniquely skilled in selling highly technical solutions to everyday people, and working hand-in-hand with end users to implement them.

As the Director of Sales in the IT and Software division of CBE he brings his experience and vision of the use of technology to our teams. He is dedicated to helping the employees of our company identify the opportunities that will bring our customers into the future. If it’s a new technology or integrating legacy systems into a modernized platform, Stu will have all the answers and a way to implement it.

Personal Snippet: Stu lives in the Mountains of La Crescenta. He has been married to his High School Sweetheart for over 26 years, they have 3 kids that keep them very busy. “We call ourselves the Meyer Tribe 5”. We love to travel, eat out and watch movies and sporting events together.

Ozzie Acosta

Title: Service Director

Duties: Oversees the overall Service Department's daily duties and operations as well as Deliveries / Parts and Shipping Departments; supports Sales and Admin Force in different capacities; works with senior staff on a daily basis to better support our customers and employees.

Education/Current and Past Work-Experience: American Technical Institute/Service Manager@Konica Minolta / Danka / Ikon Office Solutions; Service Director @ Docusource LLC; 30 years of experience in the office technology industry.

Personal Snippet: Resides in Temecula with wife Ana of 26 years;enjoys traveling; favorite spots include Hawaii and the Caribbean; also enjoys spending weekends with kids, grandchildren and friends as well as working around the house.
